    MEET JANET

Janet Mills is Maine through and through. She fights for us because she’s one of us. And Janet doesn’t just fight, she wins for Maine: protecting our health care when politicians try to rip it away, taking on the drug companies fueling the opioid crisis, and defending our state from Donald Trump’s attacks.

Now she’s running for U.S. Senate to fix what’s broken in Washington, to lower costs for everyone, and to stand up to anyone who tries to hurt Maine people.

  • Happy Hour with Hannah

    Happy Hour with Hannah Pingree

    Candidate for Governor of Maine

Hannah is a proven leader who has spent her career working to move Maine forward as the former Speaker of the House and Director of Maine's Office of Policy Innovation and the Future. With less than two months until the primary election, her campaign is gaining momentum across the state, with ads on TV, volunteers knocking doors and making calls, and endorsements from Maine Conservation Voters Action Fund (the first time they've ever endorsed in a gubernatorial primary), over 100 legislators, and Stephen King.

Hannah is traveling all over Maine holding Town Halls and Happy Hours with Hannah, hearing directly from Mainers what matters to them and answering their questions. I hope you’ll join us in Kittery.

  • FILL THE FRIDGES!

Community fridges are a free, anonymous source of food with 24/7 accessibility. Anyone can drop off food that they don’t want, or would otherwise throw away, for another person in the community to enjoy. Think of it as crowd-funding a full fridge.

There are outdoor refrigerators at Marshwood Middle School and High School.

From SMGer Laura Eaton: “I dropped off some eggs, cheese, onions and fruit at the high school yesterday afternoon. Out of curiosity, I just checked the status this morning, and all my stuff was gone along with just about everything else that was in the fridge. It is pretty empty now and was not really full yesterday.”

According to MHS Principal, the refrigerator use is robust.

    Please donate there!

  • Graham Plattner coming to York!

    April 17th

    5:30 - 6:30pm

    About this event

This is Graham Platner. I’m holding my first town hall in York on Saturday, April 17th at 5:30pm at the York Community Auditorium– and I’d like to meet you.

Billionaires have bought up both parties and are slowly crushing the working and middle class of this country. Our politicians are bought and paid for, and Maine is becoming totally unaffordable for all except a privileged few.

I’m a Marine and Army combat veteran, an oyster farmer, and harbormaster. Independent (or “unenrolled”) voters can now vote in the Democratic Primary for the first time. I hope you can come out on Friday, April 17th, at 5:30pm to ask questions and hear about our platform.

    Can you join us?

We learn simple songs by ear. No training necessary.

  • MAINE IMMIGRANT RESOURCE HUB & HOTLINE

The phone number, 207-544-9989, functions like a community dispatch system. When someone calls in to report a possible ICE sighting, trained volunteers answer the phone. If the report involves a live ICE presence, two additional volunteers—called verifiers—are dispatched to the scene to confirm the sighting. Once verified, the information is quickly relayed through trusted networks to inform immigrant communities across the state.

The Maine Immigrants' Rights Coalition, the People's Coalition for Safety and Justice, and other community partners comprise the coalition.

In addition to ICE sightings, callers can use the hotline to access legal assistance, immigrant support services, and community resources. Volunteers operating the hotline are often trusted local residents, according to Ruben Torres, policy manager for the Maine Immigrants Rights Coalition.

    Please spread the word!
